Utah vs TCU

What a fun game to watch. Especially if you're not a super duper Ute fan.

When TCU thumped on BYU a few weeks ago I heard overzealous Ute fans trash BYU big time. Any TCU possession and any mistakes by BYU was immediately followed with lots of cheer. Yet tonight, while enjoying dinner with my wife at Legends (downtown Salt Lake), there wasn't a whole lot of celebration going on. All the bragging was put to a halt in just few short minutes of the start of the ball game.

Supporting my Cougars, I ensured my loyalty by wearing my birthday present given to me by Amanda--a BYU hoody. As I entered and passed through Legends towards the back room, I couldn't help but notice the silence in the room as I walked passed the sea of red jerseys everywhere. Then, someone from a far yelled out "BYU Suck". I turned, smiled widely and said, "Go TCU." Just after halftime the bar began to look desolate. Bah ha ha ha...!

I certainly like any Utah team who wins but, when Ute fans bash BYU for no apparent reason other than pure hatred, I can't help but laugh out loud. Especially when these fans rationalize and blame everything and everyone else for their loss.

Kudos to the 4th ranked TCU football team. They played like champions.

Just a quick update on life.

Becca is working long and hard hours between teaching preschool, raising the kiddies and going to school herself. The light at the end of the tunnel doesn't come around until mid December sometime.

Amanda, Aysia and Aidan are enjoying school thus far. Becca and I have been impressed to see the progression they're making and enjoy seeing much of the creative artwork they bring home to share with us. Aysia and Aidan are still trying to learn the concept of doing homework before playing. Makes me wonder how far in life I could have gone had I done the same thing back in day.

Little Alec is the energizer battery! He enjoys participating in preschool on Tuesday's and Thursday's then off and plays at Taunie's Monday, Wednesday and Friday's. He is defiant to do and see things his way. He can be quite the menace from time to time. We love our kids so very much.

A new addition to our family is little Peanut. She's approximately a twelve week old teacup schnauzer with liver party colors. Max is no longer alone and soon to be madly in love--he just doesn't know it yet. Lets hope he gets lucky this time and finally earn his keep. He has only survived this long because he continues to fertilize our backyard trees.

Me? Nah...nothing interesting there. Work, eat and sleep is the name of the game.

Happy soon to be Thanksgiving Holiday to all.
